Where did you pooh last?

I am writing this from the free WiFi at the Rest Area on I-68 in WV. This Rest Area is dedicated to the Medal of Honor recipients of WV.

In my opinion last night the American People took a crap on their graves.

BTW – It’s not about Racism….. it’s about Communism, Marksism, Socialism…. whatever you choose to call it.

I Open Carried my Taurus PT745 Millinuim Pro yesterday as we voted…. where did all these people come from. Never knew all these people lived in our area. Luckily I live in PA where it’s legal unless at a school, federal build or courthouse. Since I vote at a firehouse it’s all good.

Did get to talk with one older gentleman who asked if it was legal or I was security….LOL Told him I wasn’t security and that it was perfectly legal. We talked for a while about the Election and he told me he was scared that Obama would win. I think most old people are, the ones old enough to remember the Depression, WW II and the nazi’s, the communism of the 50’s/60’s and watching Walter Cronkite on the news and the race riots of the later 60’s….. Gave him a PA Gunrights Flyer as well, he told me he has a LTCF. and has been considering carrying again, told him I understood perfectly.

Interesting note, gun sales have increased over 10% nationwide this year.

We the Morons

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“Keep your life simple because the more you get, the more complicated it becomes.”
–Joe Coyhis, STOCKBRIDGE-MUNSEE
The old ones say, lead a simple life. The society we live in is all about getting more houses, cars, luxury and credit cards. The law of worry says, the more you have, the more you need to worry. You get a house, then you need insurance, then you need to take care of the yard and the list goes on. Next, you may want a bigger house with a bigger yard which costs more in insurance. Along with the accumulation of materialism, are other “gifts.” Soon you become a slave and the materialism owns you. Lead a simple life and have peace of mind. Lead a simple life and be spiritual.

Creator, let my foundation be spiritual and simple.

I Live!  I know it’s been a long time since I’ve written anything.  Have a lot I’m not gonna talk about.  Have a little I might talk about, after my nap.  Just got home this morning at 5:00 am from down around Richmond, VA.  Shoulda been home about 6:00 pm, but pooh happened, only cost me a hundred extra miles.

2nd Amendment

I wish my truck had a cassette player in it so I could plug my Zune into it.  I would rather listen to music than the political retoric on the radio anymore,  Just glad Coast to Coastlast night wasn’t about political crap, not sure how much longer the duct tape holding my head together is gonna last.  I mean I’ve already got blood squirting out my eyeballs from the regurgitated talking points on both sides of the isle when it comes to Democreeps and Ratpublicans.  I wish beyond a doubt that there would one day be a legitimate third or even forth party that has a ‘real’ chance of ever getting elected.  One’s that doesn’t think they are Thomas Jefferson reincarnated or a bunch of hop heads with guns.

I have been reading the “Federalist Papers” and find it amazing how the people who helped found this country are so different in ideology than the current morons we have elected. I find it also disconcerting that the people of the United States base their entire hope of the future of this nation bases on the next President when the Congress are the ones so screwing up everything.  The House and Senate are where the laws come from, they are the ones who really screw this up for us all.

And then there is this bailout thing . . . . it’s the same thing that cause the depression to ast 10 years instead of 1 year.  All that’s gonna happen is “we the people” are gonna get screwed into higher taxes again.  I think it’s time to kick all their butts out of Washington, pass a law that says NO Lawyers can hold a goverenment office at any time and return to a goverment of “we the people.”

Another day in the eternity of this life

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“Those who live for one another learn that love is the bond of perfect unity.”
Fools Crow, LAKOTA
To serve each other, to respect each other, to trust each other, to honor each other, to love each other, to cooperate with each other, to care for each other, to forgive one another, to focus on peoples’ good, to laugh with one another, to learn from one another; to pray for each other – these are all acts of love. These values and actions will connect us to one another in the Unseen World. Nature is a good example of how we should get along with one another. Watch nature. She is our teacher. Nature lives to give to one another. The insects give to the birds who give to the four legged who give to the two legged. The Creator made all things perfect.

Oh Great Spirit, let me serve the people today. Let me see that it is better to give than it is to receive. Be with me today.

Yes, I am still alive.

Finished watching the HBO mini series John Adams this past week.  I’m still wondering how that “Federalist” Party ever turned into the current Democrat craziness.   So I’ve begun to read the “Federalist Papers” (only 400 pages in the free pdf file I found) to try and understand.  For in the words of Jack Ryan in the movie ‘Hunt for Red October’ “It is wise to study the ways of one’s adversary.  Don’t you think?” I’m not sure who exactly I’m going to vote for yet, but I know it won’t be for a Democrat, maybe not Republican either.  Guess I need some extra strong duct tape and a clothes pin for my nose on election day.  I mean seriously, if Obama and McCain are the best this country has to offer as our representative to the rest of the world . . . . we are screwed.

us_constitution_flag2

One other thing I’ve read recently are the Articles of Confederation of these United States, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.

Work is the same old thing, I’ve been doing the same run for getting close to 5 years.  My truck is a ‘05 model, next week I will surpass the 400,000 mile mark.  I think I have about 227 to go to get there right now.  I got this truck in Sept of ‘05 and it had about 34,000 miles on it then.  It has it’s issues but eh, it’s a truck, if I ever get to loving it just kill me . . . LOL  I never want to get to the place where I like being at work in my truck more than other places.

This is taken from Godtoday.com

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Our acts of love, speak more vividly to the hearts of those around us, than our words. The impact our lives have on others, is found in our day to day activities, and the way we handle and respond to everyday situations. Our children are no exception. The opinions and character formed in them are a result of our actions more than our words. It is these seemingly small, everyday things that have the greatest impact in their lives. If we will continue to seek Creator as our example, He will enable us to be good examples to our children. When children have a firm foundation in the ways and word of God, they will not be easily uprooted and the storms of life will not consume them. They will have the ability to stand strong in our Creator.

Allow my life to be a blessing and example to my children and to all those who know me. Create me in Your image and enable me to live the example of Your word, so that my actions will speak Your love and truth.

I have met only a few people in my life who have taught me more about myself than 1000 people ever could, James Ott,  Aurther Cannon, Peter Miller, and A. Rueben Hartwick.  One was in the military with me, one a preacher and two college professors.  Three are dead now, not sure about the forth.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and week

Peace

Voting, Multitasking and Failure

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“When you remove love and try to replace it with monetary things, you’ve got nothing … get him to understand that he has to love himself before he can love anything else.”
–John Peters (Slow Turtle), WAMPANOAG
It is said, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” That’s the trouble, most of us do.

Great Spirit, You are love; You are spirit. Spirit and love are interconnected. I am spiritual. Let me realize what I am really made of.

Autumn Colors, White Mountains, New Hampshire

I have decided that this whole election process is just too dang freaking long, I mean there’s still over 290 days till the general election…. I have come up with a plan to streamline the whole process.

No primary campaigning before the 4th of July, primary campaigning begins the following Monday

With 1 weeks primary campaigning in states based on their total population. So first would be Mountain time zone, followed by Central, Pacific and then Eastern (based on total population only.

Primary campaigning is allowed for only one week in that designated time zone only and the vote takes place the following Monday, (NO campaigning allowed on weekends and only 1 debate per time zone allowed)

The next Time zone begins the Monday following the previous primary election voting.

The Party Convention can them be held Labor day weekend, And Campaigning for the General election would begin the first Monday in October. (only 2 debates allowed for the general election). Election day would remain the same, the first Tuesday in November

Any violations would result in a 100,000 a day fine or removal from the ballot if not paid.

So as example, the 2008 Election would be as follows:

Mountain Time, July 7 thru July 11 with voting on July 14

Central Time, July 21 thru July 25 with voting on July 28

Pacific Time, August 4 thru August 8 with voting on August 11

Eastern Time, August 18 thru August 22 with voting on August 25

The Party Conventions begin August 29 thru September 1

The General Election Campaign would begin on October 6 and run thru October 31 (NO campaigning on weekends remember)

The General Election voting on November 4.

See, simple, easy and we don’t have to listen to the same crap being spewed for 2 years only for 4 months…. I’m loving it

Autumn Trail

I’ve noticed a lot of people struggling with trying to accomplish so many different tasks,  Sometimes we take on too much at once and well, then we can’t do our best with any of them.  I remember the advice I use to give others during my preacher person days (don’t ask, them shoes was way too tight).  Don’t worry about the stuff that Your not getting the answers for right now, deal with the stuff that God is talking to you about, He’ll get around to the rest….  Remember like that old Johnny Cash song, “One piece at a time,”   Life is a lot like a jigsaw puzzle, you can’t put all the pieces together at once, only take them apart. Daily Om had a article about that recently.

At Your Own Pace, The Tortoise And The Hare

The classic tale of the tortoise and the hare reminds us that different people take life at different speeds and that one way is not necessarily superior to another. In fact, in the story it is the slower animal that ends up arriving at the destination first. In the same way, some of us seem to move very quickly through the issues and obstacles we all face in our lives. Others need long periods of time to process their feelings and move into new states of awareness. For those of us who perceive ourselves as moving quickly, it can be painful and exasperating to deal with someone else’s slower pace. Yet, just like the tortoise and the hare, we all arrive at the same destination, together, eventually.

People who take their time with things are probably in the minority in most of the world today. We live in a time when speed and productivity are valued above almost anything else. Therefore, people who flow at a slower pace are out of sync with the world and are often pestered and prodded to go faster and do more. This can be not only frustrating but also counterproductive because the stress of being pushed to move faster than one is able to move actually slows progress. On the other hand, if a person’s style is honored and supported, they will find their way in their own time and, just like the tortoise, they might just beat the speedier, more easily distracted person to the finish line.

It’s important to remember that we are not actually in a race to get somewhere ahead of someone else, and it is difficult to judge by appearances whether one person has made more progress than another. Whether you count yourself among the fast movers or as one of the slower folks, we can all benefit from respecting the pace that those around us choose for themselves. This way, we can keep our eyes on our own journey, knowing that we will all end up together in the end.

Well, I’m going back to work tonight

Lovely week it was the last of ‘07

Among the Daffodils, Louisville, Kentucky

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“When temptation comes, I don’t say, `Yes,” and I don’t say, `No.’ I say, `Later,’ I just keep walking the Red Road-down the middle. When you’re in the middle, you don’t go to either extreme. You allow both sides to exist.”
–Dr. A. C. Ross (Ehanamani), LAKOTA
We need to practice controlling our focus. Whatever we focus on we become. We also become whatever we practice. We need to focus on balance. Whenever something comes along to tilt us off balance, we need to be grateful, because it allows the opportunity to practice our focus. Sometimes this is called temptation. Temptation in itself is not bad. What really counts is what we do with it when it happens. We need to practice controlling our focus and keeping our thinking focused on the Red Road.

Great Spirit, today, guide me through my temptations and allow me to focus on the Red Road.

Got home last night about 8:30 pm didn’t sleep real well, got up today, and we spent most of it out shopping, Every year I get a gift card from work to a seriation store, I always give it to LV for new clothing, this year with the after Rhama-Haunna-Kwans-Mass sales and discounts, she got $298 worth of regular priced clothing for $122 before the gift card, or basically she got it all free with my gift card and the one she had $22 left over from last year. I can live with that, so we splurged and bought the kids each a candy bar for $ 2.98 each

Okay, so well, this is the story…. about 3 am, on I-68 in western MD, about 15 miles before Cumberland, MD I was going west, down one of the hills, and got passed by a car, doing a good 80, maybe more. I knew there was a cop about 1/2 way down, (it’s a CB thing) so I was just cruising along, about 65, saw the car zip by where the cop was parked and then saw the cops car lights go on, as he puled out then the blues lit up just as the car got to the bridge and started spinning, car hit about three times before leaving the bridge then wound up in the storm run off about three feet on the other side of the guard rail. Cop stopped, I stopped, we drug some people out of the cars, one covered one just bleeding pretty bad, we got my most of it stopped up before the ambulance got there. I dead, one screwed up for a long while. Cop told me thanks for stoping and having the first aid kit in the truck, was given to me about a month ago in KY from one of the places I go to…. Well, at least it was better than last time watching a guy get decapitated on a motorcycle at about 70 running into the back of a pickup with a camper.

A lot happened this week, Christmas day the guys get attacked by a Siberian tiger in San Fran, CA at the zoo…. what’s up with that? Then the two guys who survived were trying to get away and refusing medical treatment? Then at the hospital they are trying to get away and won’t talk with t he cops or anyone…. huh! Then they lie on the phone to the dead guys dad and tell him they haven’t seen the son when he calls one to ask if they’ve seen him….. wth….???? Then in Dallas, TX someone shoots a pet (declawed) Bengal tiger 5 times and dumps it of on the side of a road?

Then the ex, wanna be again Prime Minister of Pakistan (these people have nukes!!!) gets shot and blown up. Now, her son is claiming to be leading her cause in her place… even though he doesn’t even speak the language…. duh! (abc world news tonight) and Al Quida is growing in leaps and bounds in Pakistan…. (the country with the nukes!!!) Oh Yeah, btw, Cashmere and India are up each others butt again….. they both have nukes!!!

American Beauty Climbing Roses

This weeks pictures a re just some beautiful flower ones …. because I can really use a good cheerful picture

Tolls and thoughts on God

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“The most important thing you can do during the course of the day is to pray.”
–Joe Coyhis, STOCKBRIDGE-MUNSEE
There are many things we do during the day that are important. There are many places we have to go and there are many things to accomplish. The old ones say, the most important thing we can do is remember to take the time to pray. We should pray every morning and every evening. In this way we can be sure that the Great Spirit is running our lives. With the Great Spirit we are everything but without Him we are nothing. All Warriors know their greatest weapon is prayer. To spend time talking to the Creator is a great honor.

Great Spirit, thank You for listening to my prayers.

I’ve decided who I’m going to vote for for presidente’   The first one running who stands in the way of the Iranian President if he tries to ‘visit’ the WTC site and tells him to get out…. That’s who gets my vote, not that I expect any of them to do it.

LV bought me the newest Tess Gerritsen book this week, it came out Tuesday.  Yes I’ve finished it already.  Marvleous book, sure to be another NYT bestseller.  Her last book is still number 7 even though it came out almost a year ago…. The Bone Garden.  She’s a wonderful author… yes they are a little bit on the creepy side… probably why I love them.  Must be something in the Maine water.

Got home today about 4 pm from work… off until Monday when I go back for the morning then hopefully to a protest locally in Harrisburg at the Capital over the proposed toll roads on I-80 here in PA…. waht most people don’t realize is the for trucks every road is a toll road already.  This happens through the IFTA (international fuel tax agreement) tax where every road and mile traveled in each state must be reported and the fuel tax on those miles paid.  Basically this is doen so that people don’t buy fuel in cheap states and drive all over another state without buying fuel. (some trucks can travel over 1600 miles on a tank of fuel)  This in turn allows each state to collect the taxes on the fuel used in their state rather than it all going to the state it was bought in but not used in.  It’s a good thing actually because it’s fair for every state, and every state gets money for the miles a truck is driven in that state.  Tolls are nothing but a second tax on all vehicals (incuding little car people). Fuel taxes are already paid on each gallon purchased, trucks pay the additional IFTA tax.  If states used the money collected for the roads instead of all the pork barrel crap they spend it on … roads and bridges wouldn’t be nearly as bad as they currently are in our country…. but even as bad as they are they are still the best roads in the world.

I found this on godtoday.com

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!  Psalm 34:8

Falling in love with God, is the greatest experience of all. It is within a loving relationship with Him, that we discover He is our ever-present source of love, peace, and unspeakable joy. It is His perfect love, which dominates all of creation in this world and the eternal. Simple faith in Our Creator affords us the opportunity to live in the presence of God, knowing Him personally, with the ability to speak to Him as a friend; respect Him as a Father, trusting in His ability and His wisdom to continually guide us. Inside each heart is a desire and ability to know God personally, if only each heart will recognize and embrace Him.

You are our God. Thank You seems inadequate for the opportunity to know You personally. You fill our lives with Your goodness, we lack nothing. We continue to seek to know You more and to place our confidence in You. Thank You for always being there, speaking, loving, working and manifesting Yourself to any who will receive. Amen.

Walk in Peace,

Elder’s Meditation of the Day – September 12
“If you get troubled, go and sit by the river. The flowing water will take your troubles away.”
–Joe Coyhis, STOCKBRIDGE-MUNSEE
Sometimes we get mixed up and we don’t know what to do. Go to the river or creek. Take your sage and tobacco; sit and be still. Talk to the water, offer tobacco and the healing water will take your problems downstream. Give thanks.
Great Spirit, heal my mind today, let me see love.

Okay, this entry is a little off the wall, actually it’s more on the wall, literally. Hope you can understand where I am coming from in this entry. Yeah it’s a political rant. I wrote this Thursday night while waiting for the soldiers to come to work Friday morning, I feel safe surrounded by the 101st Airborne on Thursday nights at Ft Campbell, I sleep well.

“KILL ALL ELLEGAL ALIANS AND TERROREST”

This message was scrawled across the wall on a public restroom I used today in Wytheville, VA. I didn’t correct the spelling. The first thought that came to my mind was ‘only if we can make it retroactive to 1492.’ I can just picture the man who wrote this in my mind. I won’t go into my description. It’s easy to stereotype what I think this man would look like, all to easy . . . We see pictures nightly on the news of immigration protestors and “Minutemen” protecting the border from the hoards of illegal people crossing daily. People who think this way scare me, for two reasons. First because they clearly don’t understand American History and the acts of terrorism committed against the indigenous peoples inhabiting this land before Columbus “discovered” it. Probably never realize’s as well that Thanksgiving Day was actually consecrated to celebrate the slaughter of Native Americans. Secondly, the obvious command of the English language they hold. Is it possible for someone to actually graduate High School in the United States and still be illiterate? Unfortunately yes. The only difference in my eyes between a Native American and a Mexican? A line someone drew in the dirt. We are all equal people in the image of our Creator. Maybe it’s time we started to act like it.

Later as I was eating breakfast I got into a discussion with some others while watching the news of Israel and it’s war with Hezballah. Then it turned to a discussion of non-combative verses combative. Who are they, where is the line drawn. Are the combative people only the ones carrying the loaded guns? The ones with their finger on the button?

What about people like me, people who are in direct support of the US Military. If someone wasn’t doing my job, the 101st Airborne wouldn’t be able to do their job in Iraq because of the lack of products they need to replace or repair their equipment. Am I then a combative person? What about my Grandmother, who installed radar equipment on submarines during WWII? That lead to the death of Japanese and German people, some ‘civilians‘ on cargo ships. Is she a combative or non-combative. What about the ladies in Kansas City who built the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, what are they?

Maybe the children, women or elderly? All through history children, women and the elderly have held roles of direct support of the military or even carrying weapons into battle. Our own Civil War, The Germans in WWII used both children and elderly. The Vietnamese used women, children, elderly in their war with the United States. Throughout history we see this happening yet we are shock it continues today.

What about farmers, they grow foods which when purchased are used to feed our military. The factory workers who manufacture the products the military requires. The people who manufacture the products the people who manufacturer items for the military need to live their lives. Or the counter help at Dairy Queen who sold a ice cream cone to a soldier once. The Cashiers at Wal-Mart or any other store where a Military member might shop. What about them?

Who are the Non-Combative? I think Plato said it best, “Only the dead have seen the end of war.” In one way or another we are all responsible for the current status of our planet, even if it’s just through the vote we cast to elect someone into a public service office. Or the back we turn to the injustice. We shall all stand before our Creator and be found guilty. In my eyes we are all combative I our own small way.

So much for Peace, TWC
