Got Guns

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“It’s the most precious thing…to know absolutely where you belong. There’s a whole emotional wrapping-around-of-you here. You see the same rock, tree, road, clouds, sun — you develop a nice kind of intimacy with the world around you. To be intimate is to grow, to learn…[it] is absolutely fulfilling. Intimacy, that’s my magic word for why I live here.”
–Tessie Maranjo, SANTA CLARA PUEBLO
Every human being, to be mentally healthy, must have the feeling of belonging. When we have a sense of belonging we can be intimate. We can feel. We can connect. If we cannot develop this feeling of belonging, then we will feel lost of disconnected. To be disconnected from life is like walking around during the day not knowing the Sun exists. To have the feelings of intimacy is warm, glowy, joyful, loving and connected. The feeling this Elder is talking about is available to everyone.

Great Spirit, let me be intimate.

So how did you spend you Saturday?  I went to Jonestown F&G Shoot with PAFOA of which I’m a member.  I went with a group of guys to shoot guns….. big guns, and a cannon.  It was a blast.  I’m only posting two pictures but you can go to the my Photobucket link and see more.

The Machine Guns in my photobucket pictures are “real” machine guns owned by legally licensed collectors and yes, they do work.  Is it legal to won these guns the answer here.

Now that is a nice rack….. of firepower.  I wish I could own a few of these.

Now that's a nice rack

This next picture is a 1/2 inch thick piece of steel plate shot at 100 yards with a .50 caliber bolt action rifle, with a quarter placed next to them to show a comparison.  I did get to shoot this gun, it’s the one with the bullet next to it in the photobucket pictures

half inche steel plate hit by

So How did you spend your Saturday……. we had a blast.  Hope everyone has a great weekend

Peace, through superior firepower

Happy Turkey Day

I wish all a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Below is something I’m thankful for.

This past week the 15 year old step-daughter came to me and asked about going deer hunting, the season starts Monday so it’s a little bit late to get her going for this year. Sort of worries me about how she’s gonna react over the actual killing of something…. in the past she’s been a vegetarian, treehugger type of person, who would rather catch a bug and take it outside rather than kill it.

So I guess we are gonna get a 20 guage shotgun to start off with in small game this coming year. I think she’s a little small yet for a 12 guage at 15 years old, and there isn’t any way in hell I’m gonna let her go deer hunting with one of my Mosin Nagants that I use….. would break her arm off at the shoulder. But the best part is I get to buy some new guns….. woo hoo…. not that I need a excuse to buy some new guns.

I’m going to spend the night hiding away, with my Pipe, Flutes and some good incense and thank Grandfather for the joys of life. I’m off work until Tuesday night…. hopefully I will survive till then

Peace, TCWF

Elmo’s got a Gun

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“What does it matter how long I pray, so long as my prayers are answered?”
Sitting Bull, HUNKPAPA LAKOTA
Too often we worry about the words we use in prayer. We focus on the words. What really counts is the spirit and intent behind our words. It is the spirit and intent that the Creator responds to. He reads and listens to our heart. Prayer isn’t only when we fold our hands and pray. Prayer is when we talk to the Creator even when we are walking down a path or sitting on a hill or walking in the mountains. The Elders say, walk in prayer. We should be willing to talk with the Great One.

Great Spirit, today I will pray to You all day. Listen to my heart.

Got home from work today, don’t know what I’m gonna do with myself, I’m off until Monday night.  I think Friday is gonna be a lake day, suppose to rain tomorrow, so I guess that’s a wash…. LOL  Had to drive through snow the other week in Western Maryland, was enough for them to plow the road.  Luckily they take pretty good care of those roads out there since they aren’t flat and are either going up or down.  But then again it is the Appalachian Mountians I cross there.  Was a beautiful sight seeing the snow like that, didn’t have my camera with me.

We have Gas heat at home now instead of Oil.  Hopefully that’ll save a ton of money this coming winter.  It’s a lot dryer in the house as well, guess we’re gonna have to get a humidifier.  Just wish these kids would learn to turn freaking lights off.  Glad I switched over to mostly CFL bulbs….. and no I don’t give a damned about the ‘mercury’ in them.  It’s a natural element on the periodic table, it comes from the ground and I have no problem with it going back in the ground.  Hell, I had a ball of Mercury I played with as a kid that I kept in a old aluminium film canister, I haven’t grown a third eye or have a leg sticking out of the middle of my forehead…. I think it’s all liberal environmentalism bullshit.   Yes, we need to take better care of our planet, but one microfart of mercury in a damned light bulb isn’t gonna change anything.

Someone asked me this week if I have names for my guns…. I just laughed.  I call whatever gun I have with me “Elmo” after the Weird Al song, “Elmo’s Got A Gun”

Okay time for a public service message,  Obama voters and liberals flee now

second amendment

So I guess we all have figured out that Obama as President is gonna try to grab guns, ban guns, raise taxes on guns and ammo and basically do everything he can to get rid of guns in this country.  But then again 4 out of 5 politicians prefer uneducated, misinformed, unarmed pesaent’s….

According to the NRA there are almost 50 million gun owners in this country. Yet less than 4 million are members of the NRA, Even less for the Second Amendment Foundation. I am a member of both. I don’t think either one is perfect…. far from it actually in the case of the NRA.  But you know what, they are the ones who are in Washington, DC, defending our right to ‘keep and bear arms” for us. If your not a member I urge you to join. I now the NRA has a ‘election year’ special where membership is discounted to $25,

I think it’s time both the NRA and the Second Amendment Foundation have at least a 10 million membership support. Please join one if not both, the more members that they have the easier it will be for them to get our elected officials to listen to them. How far will you go to defend your gun rights? How much is your ability to defend the lives of your self and family worth?  We can’t afford to bury our heads in the sand and think they’ll never be able to take our guns

‘‘Laws that forbid the carrying of arms… disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes… Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.’’ — Thomas Jefferson

Where did you pooh last?

I am writing this from the free WiFi at the Rest Area on I-68 in WV. This Rest Area is dedicated to the Medal of Honor recipients of WV.

In my opinion last night the American People took a crap on their graves.

BTW – It’s not about Racism….. it’s about Communism, Marksism, Socialism…. whatever you choose to call it.

I Open Carried my Taurus PT745 Millinuim Pro yesterday as we voted…. where did all these people come from. Never knew all these people lived in our area. Luckily I live in PA where it’s legal unless at a school, federal build or courthouse. Since I vote at a firehouse it’s all good.

Did get to talk with one older gentleman who asked if it was legal or I was security….LOL Told him I wasn’t security and that it was perfectly legal. We talked for a while about the Election and he told me he was scared that Obama would win. I think most old people are, the ones old enough to remember the Depression, WW II and the nazi’s, the communism of the 50’s/60’s and watching Walter Cronkite on the news and the race riots of the later 60’s….. Gave him a PA Gunrights Flyer as well, he told me he has a LTCF. and has been considering carrying again, told him I understood perfectly.

Interesting note, gun sales have increased over 10% nationwide this year.

Apathy of Hope

Elder’s Meditation of the Day
“Growth is a painful process.”
Wilma Mankiller, CHEROKEE
Whenever we grow, we usually need to let go of emotional attachments. Letting go can be painful. Sometimes growth allows us to deal with fear. All fear can fit into two categories: one, we’re going to lose something we have, and two, we’re not going to get something we want. Both of these categories can cause pain. The best way to grow is to pray to the Great Spirit and ask Him to guide and protect us. All growth is guided by God.

My Creator, guide my growth today and give me Your love and courage to help my pain.

Sorry I haven’t been writing more, I guess I’m suffering form the “Apathy of Hope” with this current election and all.

eagle-flag3

Today is election day….. we get to vote for who will be our fearful leader for the next four years, if we survive as a contry that long.  I am going to vote for the Constitution Party candidate but Pennsylvania in it’s divine wisdom doesn’t have that party on it’s ballot, so I guess I write in Chuck Baldwin’s name.  What a joke, it’s time we allow ballot acces to people outside the “two party system.”   I’ve been told a vote for Chuck is a vote for Obama…. I’d rather vote for Chuck Baldwin and hold my head high that I voted for my beliefs rather than my fears.

Sadly, most of the things that Obama supports and says he’ll do aren’t new things… actually they were enterd into the Congressional Record by  Albert Herlong, Jr. . . . . . over 45  years ago.  1963 Communist Goals

How many of these 45 things have already come to pass in the United States…..

I sent this to someone last night who decided I couldn’t be “friends” with them anymore” because I had posted a message about Barack Obama and his wanting to ban Concealed Carry.

“I’m sorry you feel you needed to delete me from your friends because of my political views, I guess you won’t be able to read the response to your comment on the message I posted.  Such a shame that this election has so divided our country, almost as badly as when the founding fathers decided that they could no longer live under the taxation and tyrany of a English King.  I make no apology for my views, that’s one of the things our Constitution’s Bill of Rights allows, that each person can express their view without fear of political persecution.  I would like to ask you about some of of  BHO’s views, associations and actions though. And how you reconcile them. But I will leave that decision up to you.

I would give the same opportunity to anyone here as well.

Well, off to read some of your thoughts, idea’s and wisdom…..

Peace, TCWF
